What are the fees for a contractor's license? The fees for a contractor's license depend on the type and class of license for which you are applying. Pricing is shown below.
How long is a license valid? A license is issued for two years and must be renewed biennially with the required renewal fees on the anniversary month of original issuance. A renewal notice will be
mailed to the address on the Arizona Registrar of Contractor's records which you have provided. Read your application packet for more information. Residential Contractors

Special Note The following fees are effective for all new license applications received on or after July 1, 2002. All residential and dual licenses require participation in the
recovery fund. You may either:
- Participate in the Contractors Recovery Fund by paying $300.00 for the first year and $150.00 for the second year.
or
- Post a consumer bond for $200,000.00. Forms and instructions are available upon request.
